Home care and PSWs in Chelmsford
PSW home care in Chelmsford and the Rayside-Balfour area.
Arranging care in Chelmsford
Chelmsford is a long run to the north-west, and like the Valley it works best as scheduled, regular care rather than one-off short visits. It has a large francophone population, so if French is the language spoken at home, say so when you book — we will match it where we can rather than leaving it to chance.
Where this is
The main centre of the former Town of Rayside-Balfour, amalgamated into Greater Sudbury in 2001. It sits roughly 18 km from downtown Sudbury in a straight line.
We do not quote drive times, and that is deliberate — between November and April in this part of Ontario a number on a page would be wrong often enough to be worth nothing. What we do instead is confirm a specific caregiver and a specific time before anything is booked.
What a PSW can do
Personal support work covers bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and transfers, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping and companionship. A PSW is not a nurse: wound care, injections and anything clinical need a registered nurse, and we will say so rather than stretching the scope. There is more on that distinction in our guide to the difference between a PSW and an RN.
Every caregiver is verified
Police check, PSW credentials confirmed, and references taken before anyone is matched with a family. That applies in Chelmsford exactly as it does everywhere else we work — it is not something that relaxes for the outlying communities.
